We Won a Land Bank We Can Trust!

Philadelphia has a Land Bank we can trust!

At our coalition’s urging, Philadelphia created a Land Bank to put vacant property back to good use in our neighborhoods – turning eyesores into affordable homes, green spaces, urban agriculture, new businesses and more.  But more than just a Land Bank, ours is a Land Bank we can trust!  It is fair, accountable and transparent making sure that the Land Bank works for communities rather than the highest bidder.

Over three years of mobilizing our communities, we developed a solution, got our legislation introduced, and kept pressure on city council to get it passed. We are now keeping the city accountable to developing a land bank that meets the values in the legislation.
